A Loss & Peace

Last night a little before midnight, my Gigi passed away. I got to Tulsa last night. She was really laboring to breathe and we felt it was only a matter of time. My mom and one of her brothers let her know it was ok to go ahead and die. We all went to dinner and we came back in an hour and a half she had rapidly declined. We all cried and hugged her and said our goodbyes as we felt she wouldn't make it thru the night. My sis and I went back to her house and my mom and her brother stayed up there. My mom called a little before midnight to tell us she had died. We are all so sad, but thankful she is no longer suffering. It was so hard to see her suffering and we know she is in a better place.

Thank you so much for your kind words, texts and calls. It has meant a lot to my family and I during this difficult time.

One of my favorite hymns at a time like this.....

It Is Well With My Soul

"When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul."

Hope all is well....
